Use of pipes – REINFORCED JET-GROUTING

The jet-grouting technique consists in injecting cement grout into the ground at high pressure (up to 500 bar); it represents one of the most used solutions to consolidate loose soil in order to facilitate the formation of reliefs or close to tunnels. Jet-grouting is great as well to form end caps (waterproofing) for construction of parking below aquifers and riverbanks.

– Why pipes are used in reinforced jet-gouting?

– Steel pipes inserted in cemented ground columns created by Jet-grouting procedure are used as reinforcing or as a tube for sonic tests; in both cases, they are placed in the center of the cemented column.
