Use of pipes – GROUND ANCHORS

Ground anchors are used to transmit the tensile strength of a Berlin Wall or of a retaining wall to layers of rock or depth soil.

Regarding utilization, ground anchors may be:

Temporary: used only for a few months

Permanent: for example used in retaining walls or soil consolidation of loose terrain

Ground Anchors are composed of strands and sheaths and/or with pipes (also pipes equipped with valves).

– Why ground anchors are used?

– Tie rods are used in order to stably anchor the retaining walls made by Berliner Walls of combined micropiles, or made by jet-grouted steel pipes, when these are not able to ensure by themselves an adequate stability against the loads they must support.
